Gorilla Performance Dyno Day preview

Gorilla Performance Preview

By Jeffrey V. Shirts

Located on the outskirts of Rexburg, Idaho, a town known for its impressive four-year private college BYU-I, and known for being an agrarian, farming town, will be the location of the next event for the Northwest Dyno Circuit. Just south of town sits the headquarters for Premier Performance, one of the largest distributors of aftermarket engine parts and components in the nation, and one of their dealers, Gorilla Performance. Gorilla Performance is hosting the event on the Premier Performance campus with the Northwest Dyno Circuit crew. With May starting with large events to push the excitement of the circuit, the competition is only growing more fierce every week as No Zone Diesel, Industrial Injection, and Custom Auto face off to prove that they have the highest performing and most consistent dyno diesel truck in the Intermountain West and beyond.

The event starts at 9 AM and has a solid line up of vendors, services, and entertainment planned, as well as drawing in the big names of the circuit—No Zone Diesel, Bully Dog, Edge, and Custom Auto—those racing to hit 2000 horsepower with their trucks. And, according to Dmitri Millard, owner of No Zone Diesel, since his performance at Industrial Injection on the 2nd of May, his truck has consistently hit 1800hp at the in-shop dyno at Industrial Injection. With Millard determined to be the first to hit 2k horsepower, Gorilla Performance’s event is shaping up to the be defining moment of the NWDC.

Services and vendors that will be there include food trucks, BD Diesel, Bully Dog, Industrial Injection, and Archoil—a new lubricant technology. Local vendors representing South East Idaho and Rexburg include Taylor Chevrolet, Clair and Dee’s Tire Factory, and more. A local radio station will be on site to cover the event, as well.

Prizes will also be given to every winner of each class: Injen Technology will give away a cold air intake for the Stock Class winner, BD Diesel will give away a throttle sensitivity booster to the winner of the Single Class, and for the Compound and Twin Classes, a Gorilla Performance AutoCal, along with other prizes as well.
